Abstract

Àṣamọ̀

Àfojúsùn ìwádìí yìí ni àgbéyẹ̀wò òwe Yorùbá gẹ́gẹ́ bi ìpínṣíṣọ̀rí ẹ̀yà lítíréṣọ̀ alohùn Yorùbá. Iṣẹ́ yìí ṣe àkíyèsí pé, ọ̀pọ̀ ìwádìí tó wà nílẹ̀ tẹ́lẹ̀ lórí òwe ni kò fi bẹ́ẹ̀ kọbi-ara sí ẹ̀yà lítíréṣọ̀ alohùn Yorùbá tí a lè ka wọ́n sí. Àwọn onímọ̀ kan kà òwe sí èròjà lásán fún ewì alohùn Yorùbá. Ìwádìí yì gbìyànjú láti dí àlàfo yìí nípa ṣíṣe àgbéyẹ̀wò òwe láti ṣàlàyé àbùdá àti ìpínsíṣọ̀rí rẹ̀ nínú lítíréṣọ̀ alohùn Yorùbá. Ìlànà ìṣèwádìí méjì ni a ṣe àmúlò nínú iṣẹ́ yìí; àkọ́kọ́ ni ṣíṣe àkójọpọ̀ òwe Yorùbá láti inú ọ̀kan-ò-jọ̀kan ìmọ̀ ìgbé-ayé àwùjọ Yorùbá. Ọgbọ́n ìṣèwádìí kejì ni ṣíṣe àmúlò àwọn ìwé tí ó wúlò fún iṣẹ́ yìí, àwọn ìwé bíi, jọ́nà, átíkù àti orí ìtàkùn ayélujára. Àwọn àkójọ-èdè-fún-àyẹ̀wò yìí ni a fi tíọ́rì ìfìwádìí-sọ̀tumọ̀-ìṣẹ̀lẹ̀-àwùjọ (Sociological Hermeneutics) ṣe ìtúpalẹ̀ rẹ̀. Ìdí pàtàkì tí a fi ṣe àmúlò tíọ́rì yìí ni láti wo ìwúlò òwe pẹ̀lú iṣẹ́ tí wọ́n ń fi wọ́n ṣe nínú àgbékalẹ̀ ìhun àwùjọ. Àbájáde ìwádìí yìí fi hàn pé iṣẹ́ tí òwe ń ṣe ní àwùjọ Yorùbá kò kéré rárá, àtipé, bí a bá wo àbùdá òwe Yorùbá a ó rí i pé ó kọjá èròjà fún ẹ̀yà ewì alohùn Yorùbá kan lásán gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn onímọ̀ kan ti ṣe ṣe àlákalẹ̀ rẹ̀. Nípa wíwo iṣẹ́ pàtàkì tí à ń fi òwe ṣe ní àwùjọ àti títò òwe Yorùbá sí ààyè tó yẹ nínú ìpínsíṣọ̀rí lítíréṣọ̀ Alohùn Yorùbá, a lérò pé ìwádìí yìí yóò rí ohun tuntutn fi kún ìmọ̀ nínú iṣẹ́ akadá.

Author Biography

SA'ADU Taofiq Ph.D, Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo.

Dr. Taofiq Sa'adu is a Lecturer in the Department of Yorùbá at Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo, Nigeria, where he has served since 2014. He holds a Ph.D. in Yorùbá Language and Literature (2021) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, building on an M.A. in the same field (2017) and a B.A. (Ed.) in Yorùbá (Second Class Upper, 2011). His research specializes in Yorùbá oral literature, cultural philosophy, and the poetic traditions of deities such as Ìyàké and Èṣù, with a growing focus on connecting indigenous knowledge systems to contemporary themes like artificial intelligence and national development. An active scholar with numerous journal articles, book chapters, and conference presentations to his credit, Dr. Sa'adu also serves as Deputy Director of Postgraduate Studies and Research, engages in media production to promote Yorùbá heritage, and has supervised dozens of undergraduate and postgraduate projects.
